Two-Step Authentication

Forms User Guides Accounts

Two-Step Authentication (often called Two-Step Verification) can help you secure your account against lost or stolen passwords.

With Two-Step Authentication enabled, you will only be able to log in to your account when you have your phone with you. Your phone will generate a unique 6-digit code every 30 seconds, and you'll have to enter it before logging in.

Turning On Two-Step Authentication

  1. Open your settings page by clicking the gear in the lower left of your screen and selecting Settings.
  2. Select the Account & Profile category.
  3. Open the Two-Step Verification section.
  4. Check the Enable Two-Step Verification checkbox.
  5. Save the Two-Step Verification form.
  6. Download the Google Authenticator app for Android or iPhone. If you're already familiar with two-factor authentication, you can use your own app. At this time, we don't support authentication through SMS.
  7. Scan the QR code on your settings page with your two-factor app. Enter the 6-digit code provided by the app into the Confirm Verification Code field that appears below the QR code.
  8. Save your settings again with the Save button in the bottom of the page.
  9. When you next log in, you'll be asked to enter your two-factor code. Open the app you used to set up two-factor authentication and enter the code it provides.

Troubleshooting Setup Issues

If the code you entered didn't work, it's most likely because of one of the issues below:

  • If you wait too long before entering the code and saving your settings, the code will expire. Enter the code and save your settings within roughly thirty seconds to make sure it's still valid.
  • If your verification code wasn't properly set up with the mobile app, it will prevent you from enabling two-step authentication so you aren't locked out of your account. Retry the setup process from scratch, and make sure to closely read any popups your two-factor app gives you. If it still doesn't work, email us at support@sonadier.com and we're always happy to help you secure your account.

Disabling Two-Step Authentication

If you no longer need two-step authentication, you can disable it from your settings panel at any time while you're logged in.

  1. Open your settings page by clicking the gear in the lower left of your screen and selecting Settings.
  2. Select the Account & Profile category.
  3. Open the Two-Step Verification section.
  4. Disable the Enable Two-Step Verification checkbox
  5. Save your settings.
